FVA played a leading role in the High-Level Policy Roundtable at BrIAS Agri 2026

As Europe accelerates its transition towards more sustainable and technology-driven agricultural systems, FVA New Media Research played a leading role in shaping the policy conversation at BrIAS Agri 2026, one of the key European events dedicated to Smart Agriculture.

Within the framework of the Horizon Europe project ZELDA, FVA led and moderated a high-level Policy Dialogue on Future Innovations in Smart Agriculture, bringing together representatives from European institutions, funding bodies, industry organisations and the bioeconomy sector. The roundtable served as a strategic platform to discuss how innovation, regulation and sustainability can converge to support the future of European farming.

The session was coordinated by FVA’s Susanna Albertini and Selenia Marinelli, who guided an open and forward-looking discussion among distinguished speakers, including representatives from DG AGRI, DG SANTE, the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), the European Biosolutions Coalition and Confagricoltura.

The dialogue focused on some of the most pressing challenges facing European agriculture: reducing dependence on chemical pesticides, accelerating the adoption of bio-based solutions, strengthening innovation ecosystems, and creating regulatory frameworks capable of supporting the next generation of smart farming technologies.

By leading this important policy roundtable, FVA reinforced its role as a facilitator of dialogue between research, industry and policymakers. The discussion highlighted the importance of ensuring that innovative solutions developed within European research projects can effectively contribute to policy objectives, including the European Green Deal, the Farm to Fork Strategy and the broader vision for a resilient and competitive agri-food sector.
