The Mutual Learning Workshop “Migration: turning challenges into opportunities” will be held in Rome on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.
The initiative is promoted by the Dandelion and InterHealth Projects, funded by the European Commission, in collaboration with OIS and The Node and under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event will take place at the Sala Spazio Europa, managed by the European Parliament Information Office in Italy and the European Commission Representation in Italy (Via Quattro Novembre, 149, RM).
In the morning session (9:00-13:00), organized by the DANDELION project, the issues related to the social challenges related to migration will be discussed. The discussion will develop in two sessions. In the first, international experts will present examples in which the challenges related to migration have been transformed into opportunities. In the second the focus will shift to the role of media and social media in defining the narrative on migration and discuss which elements influence public perception.
During the afternoon session (14:00-17:00), organized by the INTERHEALTH project in collaboration with OIS, the focus will be on Health and Migration: national and international Best Practices for the training of health workers in a multicultural context.
The purpose of the conference is to compare ideas, experiences and solutions to stimulate discussion and mutual learning.
